Welcome.....

Where to start, where to start...that is the question!!

I have NO idea...is the answer!!

(But, I'm going to give it a valiant effort!)

As you can tell, this blogging thing is brand, spankin' new to me! But, when I seen some other photographers with a blog, it seemed like the perfect fit. I felt like Cinderella finding her glass slipper! First of all, it was a whole lot easier than registering a domain & designing a web page. Secondly, at least for me, it was easier than using myspace. However, the thing that really intrigued me was that I could post my thoughts, & my latest portrait settings at the same place, & people would actually enjoy looking at them, & hopefully come back for more!

My passion for photography started several years back after the birth of my oldest child, Brady. Brady is almost 10 now, & he has two beautiful sisters, Averee, 6, & Reece, 18 months. While Brady is not really a picture taking kind of kid, as you will see in the photos I will post, my daughters definitely are!! Actually people would probably say Averee is a "ham".

Although I am "new" at portrait settings, people (family, friends & strangers alike) have commented on my photos for years. Over the past year, give or take, many of these people started asking where I had them done, so they could also have theirs taken.

Finally, it hit me --- like a ton of bricks!!

I can offer this gift to other people!!!! I can actually take the visions and thoughts in my head and photograph other families & events. Then these people will be able to have a memory they can cherish for a lifetime. These shots will be candid moments that define your day or event & beautiful moments you'll never forget. I want to make your moments last more than just a day, I want them to last a lifetime. When children have grown & leave for school or a career, or when the craziness of that special day is a distant memory, I hope my photos will remind each person of the exact moment they shared in the photo. They will look back, & be thankful they have a photo to remind them of..."Moments Like These"

Because "Moments Like These" are once in a lifetime!

What a great start you have on your blog! Sometimes after I post, I hit "next blog" and bop around a bit just to explore what other people are doing.

For the record, there are easy ways to put together a website using templates as simple as blogspot. I've used weebly.com as one. (But be careful to save what you do since that site doesn't save the way blogger does.)

Good luck and enjoy the journey!
